System: Up. Status: Linked.
4/29/08 Well, it appears that I did a bone-headed thing when I put the new repeater up at the site. Due to not thinking through the install, I failed to set the power output of the repeater to the original 50W out. Instead, it appears that I set the output for 10W because I had the prior frequency pair stuck in my head... 147.22 ran into a system half-way down the coast of Oregon, so we continued to reduce power in an attempt to work with the folks in OR. When we changed frequencies, the old power setting was stuck in my head and I set the power output to the same as the last power setting on 147.22. Well, after throwing 6 dB of loss into the loop (duplexer) with the reduced power out, we're way below the original design expectations. Such is life. A trip up the mountain tomorrow should solve that problem... |
